We were experimenting with 14mm wide angle lens which gave our pictures a nice depth when photographed from various angles.

Zabriskie Point

This is one of the park's most popular lookouts which is only a short uphill hike from the carpark.  It is only 8km south of Furnace Creek on Highway 190.  Once you get to the lookout you will be awarded with panoramic view of golden-brown mudstone hills riddled with rills and gullies from the intense, although very rare, rush of water down the slopes.  We had an opportunity to photograph this place before and during the sunrise.

If you get up early enough and get there well before sunrise, you might be lucky to get really nice colours out of the sky at dawn.
